Morning Mindfulness Meditation (in person!)

Taking a pause, in this fast-paced world is a bold move. But that pause can give us the space to remember what is important and act with more compassion and kindness for others and ourselves. As you orient yourself to your Thursday, join us for a guided meditation, mindful sharing and, who knows, maybe some fun, too!

No experience required, no cost to join, #just show up! Hosted in partnership with November Project DC as part of the Week of Washington!

Location: Temperance Alley Garden, 1909 13th St NW, Washington, DC

About the venue

Temperance Alley is a pop-up garden, an outdoor classroom, and a time machine in the alley behind 1931 13th Street NW — stewarded by the U Street Neighborhood Association. Every week we host events and workshops in this parking lot turned green space, where community members share their curiosities and grow, together.

Every morning I awake torn between a desire to save the world and an inclination to savor it. This makes it hard to plan the day. But if we forget to savor the world, what possible reason do we have for saving it? In a way, the savoring must come first
